Like the moody Bella Swan, her Twilight alter ego, Kristen Stewart prefers the shadows to the limelight.

When your first screen credit rolls up after the names Glenn Close and Joshua Jackson, fame is going to be difficult to avoid - even when you're 11. Kristen Stewart has had nine years to get used to it, but the Twilight star still craves celebrity like a vampire seeks out sunshine. "I grew up in the business, so the attention isn't surprising, but it is inhibiting," says Stewart, who landed a role in 2001's The Safety Of Objects after an agent spotted her in a primary school play. "I love acting and I'm so grateful for Twilight and the opportunities it's given me. I'm just not very good at dealing with the idea of being followed everywhere, and not being able to walk down the street or sit at a cafe with friends without getting mobbed and Twittered."



And don’t start her on the romance issue. The latest instalment of the Twilight saga, Eclipse, only ramped up the hysteria surrounding her apparent relationship with co-star Robert Pattinson. "Nothing I could say would change anything, so I'm not going to say anything," sighs the ethereally beautiful Stewart, whose brittle manner suggests that a hotel suite remains her true sanctuary. A role reversal doesn't hurt, either. And what better therapy for an angsty ingenue than a role as seminal rock chick Joan Jett in this year's biopic The Runaways. As Eclipse and the critically acclaimed The Runaways are released on DVD, Stewart opens up about life in the Twilight zone and how she is managing to balance life, career and her conflicted bargain with the devil of celebrity.

Ashley Greene keeps it cool and comfy as she’s spotted arriving at LAX airport in Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon (September 8).

The 23-year-old actress just returned from wrapping up her latest film, L.O.L. in Paris, France with Miley Cyrus.

Ashley was just announced as a presenter at the 2010 MTV VMAs in Los Angeles this weekend. Other presenters include Selena Gomez, Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone.

Kristen Stewart: Interviews Make Me Smell Bad!

Normally cool, calm and collected, Kristen Stewart has admitted she gets so nervous in interviews that she starts to get a bit whiffy.

The Twilight actress confessed her attempts to avoid looking ‘incapable’ often cause her to break out in a nervous sweat.

She explained to Stylist magazine: ‘Practice helps a lot. You just get so nervous … I don’t know how to deal with it. I don’t prepare anything, I just do it so it’s gotten easier with experience. You realise that even if you totally botch it and (it) turns out horribly and everyone thinks you’re totally incapable, it’s like, ‘It doesn’t really directly affect me’. When I’m nervous, I’m so mindless. I twiddle my thumbs and my hands sweat and I smell bad.’

Kristen Stewart Is Said 'Getting Frustrated' Of Possessive Robert!

The 20-year-old actress reportedly sometimes wishes her 24-year-old on/off screen lover ‘would just back off’ because of his possessive ways.

According to Showbiz Spy, Kristen Stewart is growing tired of Robert Pattinson’s possessive ways. An insider said as quoted by the site that the Bella Swan of “Twilight” movie series hates that Robert wants to be with her 24 hours a day and showers her with text messages when she’s not with him.

“Kristen loves spending time with Rob. But she sometimes wishes he’d just back off,” the insider claimed. “When he visits her on set, he’s always by Kristen’s side – and it annoys her. She’s a very independent woman and is used to spending time alone. She’s getting frustrated.”Beside allegedly being possessive, Robert was also recently reported getting jealous of Kristen’s “On the Road” co-star Viggo Mortensen. An insider told Hollywood Life, “Her scenes are with Viggo, who is very very hot! Rob is free until filming begins on the next ‘Twilight’ film, so he’s got all the time in the world to keep an eye on Kristen – and he will.”

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have been romantically linked since they filmed “Twilight”. The rumored lovers have never confirmed whether they are dating or not. However, back in August, the two were spotted smooching in Montreal, Canada where Kristen was filming the movie.

Robert, Kristen & Taylor Will Not Be Attending The VMA's!

Sad news alert!

You won't be seeing Twilight's biggest stars this weekend—at least not on Sunday at the MTV Video Music Awards…

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner are not—we repeat, not—expected to attend the big Chelsea Handler-hosted shindig. It'll be weird without them, but with no projects (i.e., Breaking Dawn) to promote, there's no major reason for the trio to be there.

Plus, they're busy. Rob's been on holiday while Kristen and Taylor are off filming nonbloodsucking projects.

No word on other Twi- plans for the VMAs, but we wouldn't be surprised if some of the vampire saga's other costars show up at the VMAs to represent.

Sofia Coppola is Impressed By Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson!

While the “Breaking Dawn” director’s chair for both parts 1 and 2 is officially occupied by Bill Condon, “Twilight” fans know that there were several other high-profile names attached to the project before Condon signed on.

Among them was “Lost in Translation” and “Marie Antoinette” director Sofia Coppola. When we caught up with the writer/director to discuss her upcoming Chateau Marmont-set film, “Somewhere,” we asked her if there was any truth to the “Dawn” director rumors.

“Yeah, yeah, I talked to them about that,” Coppola revealed to MTV News. “I was interested in doing something but I didn’t end up doing it. But I love, I’m impressed by Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson pulling it off in that whole story,” she said. “And my friend’s kids love the story so much that I thought it would be fun to make something that they love so much.”

Asked what she liked best about the blockbuster vampire franchise, Coppola admitted she goes weak in the knees for romance.

“I just love that it’s so romantic,” she told us. “I’m always a sucker for a love story and also to do something for teenagers, because I feel like, why not have beautiful cinematography and all these things in a kid movie? Usually it looks like it’s not crafted very sophisticated, and I feel like it’d be nice to bring that kind of style into a younger film.”

"I met Rob!!! He was touring the local Buddy Holly museum! I had given up looking for him and decided to take my son in to get free cake cuz it's Buddy Holly's bday celebration! I was rounding a corner with the stroller and there he was scruffy and all!! There was like nobody in the museum just old people.

 I was seriously paralyzed then I just spit out 'rob is that you?' he turned around (he was looking at a guitar) he looked at me and started laughing and  said 'no no you've got the wrong guy' but duh I heard his sweet voice I knew it was him!!! I was paralyzed again. He kept smiling my 14 month old was babbling so Rob bent down a little and said 'hi there'. Then some guy came over and was asking Rob if he'd seen everything. I was so dumb I started asking him what his favorite Buddy Holly songs were and babbling about stupid *beep* Rob was soo nice and  polite even tho he looked sleepy. He said he was going to head out and  asked me nicely not to post anything about his whereabouts for a few hours. I was all ' omg of course, and then like an idiot. I asked him for a hug. He laughed again and then gave me like a 5 second two-armed hug!!!!!! He gave my son's hand a little tug and said 'nice meeting you', then he said the biggest compliment ever, 'i hope when I have a kid he's as beautiful as you! ( talking to my son). I almost fell on the floor. Then him and the other guy left and I didn't want to look like a stalker by following them so I just kept walking around the museum. I had left all my crap in the car , my camera, my photo I wanted him to autograph. I didn't want to be like 'oh rob can u wait here a sec? :( :( he looked like he was in a hurry. But omg omg BEST DAY of MY LIFE!!

Omg I have no idea which guy his friend was. He was dressed like. Way nicer than Rob his shirt was tucked in and he looked really young ..if I had to pick one maybe the second one. Ya he was towering over us (I'm barely 5'3!) and I noticed a little tummy on him ! He wasn't all six packed out or anything !! He looked so good tho like his body looked and felt like you really had something to hold onto! I always thought he was skinnier. He smelled like cigarettes and strawberry ice cream lmao that's the only way I can describe it!!!!! 

I'm trying to remember all the bs I said to him. He probably thought I was nuts cuz he kept laughing. I told him that he & Christoph waltz are my fave actors & he was like 'oh sorry It would probably be more exciting to meet Christoph' 

I know! Just wish I could have gotten a pic :( but it's ok. My baby absolutely loved him and was trying to grab his beard !! My baby has been called a miniature Edward Cullen so maybe Rob saw his own cuteness in him.

Oscar Buzz for Kristen Stewarts 'Welcome To The Rileys'!

According to recent reviews, journalists are hailing Kristen StewartKristen Stewart’s performance in her upcoming movie, Welcome To The Riley’s, as “electric”. Stewart, who filmed the movie between Twilight and New Moon, plays a pole dancing young stripper/prostitute in the movie, due out in October.

An MTV review states that Stewart is “utterly fearless in Welcome to the Riley’s. That’s the takeaway from the film’s world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on Saturday afternoon. You can quibble all you want with her portrayal of a 16-year-old runaway turned stripper and prostitute. But you cannot walk away from a viewing and say the actress doesn’t fearlessly expose herself physically and emotionally, and doesn’t do so with astonishing maturity and believability.”

Welcome To The Riley’s, stars Stewart as a troubled young woman who is befriended by James GandolfiniJames Gandolfini and Melissa LeoMelissa Leo, who have recently lost their daughter. The movie was a favorite at the Sundance Film Festival this year, and critical acclaim has come from viewers who have attended film festivals this summer. There have been positive reviews for all three stars of the film.

It looks like we, the public, can soon forget the Kristen Stewart we know so well as the girl you can count on to give the same performance movie after movie. Sasha Stone, Oscar guru, says that Kristen Stewart would be a key nominee in the Best Supporting Actress category at the Oscars in 2011.

Chloe Moretz appears to be leading the hunt for Katniss Everdeen, and Kathy Reichs is out with her first young-adult novel.
Courting Katniss: Now that we know who will play Lisbeth Salander in the American movie version of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (Rooney Mara), fans are speculating about the next plum book role for a young actress: Katniss Everdeen, the teen heroine of Suzanne Collins’ young-adult dystopian trilogy. The final novel, Mockingjay, shoots to the top of USA TODAY’s Best-Selling Books list in its first week of sales. ET, MTV and the Los Angeles Times all say Kick-Ass star Chloe Moretz has the inside track to star in the adaptation of the first book, The Hunger Games. Twilight’s Kristen Stewart is also mentioned in nearly all the online shortlists, according to The Daily Beast. The screenplay was written by Collins and revised by screenwriter Billy Ray (24,Flightplan). Production begins early next year.

Rob Wants To Sit In On Kristens Sex Scenes!

Who knew that Robert Pattinson is a voyeur?

According to Hollywood Life, the Twilight heartthrob is intent on being present when his co-star and reported girlfriend, Kristen Stewart, films her sex scenes for the big-screen adaptation of Jack Kerouac's classic novel On the Road—because he's fearful that something might happen between Stewart and her co-star, 51-year-old Viggo Mortensen.

A source tells Hollywood Life,

“Rob plans on being on the set of On the Road, not because he has a role in the drama, but because Kristen has a real risque part! There are a lot of sex scenes including a threesome, and Rob wants to make sure that it’s all pretend from the start and finish of the film.”

Mortensen will be playing the role of Old Bull Lee, based on Naked Lunchauthor William S. Burroughs. Stewart, meanwhile, is playing Marylou, a part based on LuAnne Henderson, the teenage wife of Neal Cassady(referred to as Dean Moriarty in the book/movie). And given that Marylou will be portrayed as quite the sexual libertine in the movie, R-Pattz isn't taking any chances.

The source adds,

“He’s very jealous. Kristen told him she didn’t want him on the set because it would make her feel uncomfortable, but Rob said he’s going to be there. Especially now that her scenes are with Viggo, who is very very hot! Rob is free until filming begins on the next Twilight film, so he’s got all the time in the world to keep an eye on Kristen – and he will.”

The source further notes that Pattinson wasn't thrilled with Stewart taking the role in the first place, because of all the sexual subject matter.
